Pull the straps through the loop around the cot's attachment locations, then wrap the remaining straps around the patient's arms, torso or legs and fasten ends together with automobile-style seat belt buckle. This will prevent injured or seriously ill person from tipping off while being transported on a stretcher or backboard. Stretcher straps are 7 feet long and are sold in pairs. Restraint straps are made of heavy duty nylon so they're cleanable.
