It contains ceramide, which plays a critical role in helping the skin retain moisture by forming lipid barriers. The CeraPlus™ skin barrier has a tape border that adheres to uneven skin surfaces.The Hollister® skin barrier has a flexible design that helps it fit around the stoma and conform to the patient's body. The floating flange also allows the skin barrier to attach to a pouch securely without putting pressure on the abdomen. The skin barrier comes in a pre-cut extended-wear option with a 1-inch stoma opening, which withstands liquid output.
